Dr. Barry N. Feldman is a nationally recognized suicidologist, educator, and clinical expert serving as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Director of Psychiatry Programs in Public Safety at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. With over 20 years of clinical and research experience, he specializes in suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention across high-risk populations including law enforcement, military, first responders, healthcare providers, and educators. Dr. Feldman is a Master Trainer in the Safety Planning Intervention model, holds Psychological Autopsy Certification from the American Association of Suicidology, and formerly chaired the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention. He consults for the Massachusetts National Guard and Department of Public Health, and has been featured in the Boston Globe and on WBUR (NPR) for his expertise on suicide risk factors.
