Who publishes this site
Vident Partners is an expert witness referral firm founded in 2005 and based in Dallas, Texas, led by Managing Partner Arie George, JD. We publish this site so attorneys can understand a field, and the people who practice in it, before they need an expert.
Vident Partners is paid when an attorney engages an expert through our referral service. That is the commercial interest behind everything here. Reading the site costs nothing and obligates no one.
Who writes each kind of page
Insights
Every article carries a byline, and each byline links to that author’s page. Our attorneys and our founder write most of them. Experts write in their own fields, and an expert’s name appears only on a piece that expert wrote. An article reprinted from another publication says so at the top. See experts and authors.
The expert directory
Vident Partners researches and publishes each specialty page. We use AI tools in research and drafting, and every page goes through the sourcing checks below. A directory page names an expert reviewer only when that expert has reviewed it.
The Authority Network
Each Center is owned, published and funded by Vident Partners and says so on its pages. A Center names its anchor experts and accepts no advertising, sponsorship or outside funding. It launches only when its standards section is complete and every citation is checked. Each Center’s About page gives its full policy.
Expert profiles
A featured expert’s profile lists their credentials, publications and affiliations, with links to outside sources where they exist. An expert’s opinions are their own. Vident prepares experts on process, conduct and communication, and the substance of an opinion stays with the expert.
Testimonials
Each testimonial is a named attorney’s own words, shown with their firm and city.
Where the facts come from
- We cite primary sources where they are open to the public: statutes, regulations, court opinions, government agencies, certifying boards and peer-reviewed papers.
- A bracketed number on a page links to the numbered source at the bottom of that page.
- We open a source before we cite it, and we check source links across the directory.
- When a source link dies, we replace it, and we reword the claim if the new source says something different.
What the dates mean
“Last updated” on a directory page and “Updated” on an article show the last change to that page’s content. A change to the site’s design or code leaves the date alone.
Legal and medical subjects
These pages are general information for attorneys. They are not legal, medical or other professional advice. See the disclaimer.
How to report an error
Tell us through the contact page or at (913) 257-5170. We check the report against the source and fix the page, and its date moves with the fix.
