Platform
Vident's current website runs on Drupal 7, which officially reached end of life on January 5, 2025 — ending 14 years of community support. The site currently relies on paid extended security patches at $3,500–$4,000 per year, but this is a stopgap, not a solution.
An important clarification: Modern Drupal is a capable platform. Drupal 10/11 runs on Symfony 7 and PHP 8.3, supports headless architecture, and offers robust editorial tooling. Vident's internal CRM already runs on Drupal 10 — and it works well. The argument isn't that Drupal is bad. It's that for Vident's public-facing marketing site, a different architecture is a better fit.
And critically: migrating from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10 or 11 isn't an upgrade — it's a full rebuild. The D7 migration path requires reconstructing the site from scratch on a fundamentally different codebase. Since either path requires starting over, the question becomes: which architecture best serves the site's actual needs?
Technical Infrastructure
Every page is optimized for traditional search, next-generation AI answer engines, and the emerging category of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
Organization, Service, Article, Breadcrumb, FAQ, and Review schemas — six types total — promote better search rankings and enable rich snippets in Google results.
Attorneys increasingly use AI tools to find expert witnesses. Structured, answer-first content in the format LLMs prefer to cite means Vident appears when they ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI for recommendations.
300+ pages generated from a single taxonomy file. Add a specialty, get a fully optimized landing page — no manual CMS work required. 200+ additional specialties are already identified and ready to build.
Named authors with JD credentials, real case citations, and verifiable expertise. Google's quality guidelines prioritize Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness — every page is built with this in mind.
llms.txt and structured entity data establish Vident Partners as a recognized authority in AI knowledge graphs and citation systems, so AI models know what Vident is and recommend it by name.
Auto-generated XML sitemap covering all 303+ pages, OpenGraph metadata for social sharing, and robots.txt configuration — the foundational SEO infrastructure modern sites require.
Growth Platform
The rebuild is the foundation. These four pillars turn your website into a growth engine.
Your current site lists about 25 specialties, with only 12 linking to actual content pages — most with just a paragraph or two. We've built 103 specialty pages with expanded content across 16 categories, and mapped 200+ additional specialties ready for buildout in the first 3 months.
Instead of a generic blog, restructure your 174 articles into three distinct content types that signal expertise and authority:
Spotlight a subject matter expert each month in three high-demand litigation areas, building both the expert's reputation and Vident's authority:
Once the platform is established, augment organic growth with targeted paid campaigns and direct outreach to law firms:
